Well, I had a good run and now it's time to hand over the waterproof reigns to someone else. Introducing Ms Emily Penn, Pangaea Explorations Programme Director, RYA Yachtsmaster of the Year, Explorer, Architect, Oceans Ambassador and now Aquapac Outdoor Champion 2013.
It's been a pleasure spending 2012 as Aquapac's Outdoor Champion. Not only do I carry their backpack with me everywhere I go but I spent over three months on (or in) the water on expeditions this year, and thanks to Aquapac not once did I lose an electronic device (despite the back of my Android phone ending up at the bottom of a river in deepest America).
The items I've protected with Aquapac this year include my Macbook Pro, iPad, HTC phone, iPod touch, SPOT tracker, Garmin eTrex GPS, VHF radio, Kelty tent, Sleeping bag, clothes, matches, Jetboil stove, Hammock Bliss Sky Tent and some happy socks given to me by Sarah Outen, who just happened to be the OC for Aquapac in 2011.
You see, there's a pattern. If you're adventurous and spend a bit of time near water perhaps it'll be your year in 2014. For now though, good luck Emily!
