Ship's bell and compass from the Pangani, before 1913

This bell comes from the wreck of the Flying P ship Pangani (1902). It sank in January 1913 on its way from Antwerp to Chile after a collision with the French steamer Phryné north of Cape La Hague in the English Channel. Only four of the crew survived. The wreck itself was found in 2007 and could be identified by the bell and compass lying beside it.

Arnold Origi’s special gift to street families in Pangani and Dandora

Finland-based Kenyan goalkeeper Arnold Origi has been feeding street families in Pangani and Dandora for the past one week.

Origi has been funding the preparation and distribution of free lunch to the needy street families in the two neighborhoods. The former Kenyan international says this is to cushion them during the coronavirus pandemic and beyond.
