Yi Sang: Doesn't really know how to kiss well, hasn't done it before nor has he felt the inclination. Cold lips, but soft from chapstick (assuming this is post-canto and he takes care of himself better). Likes to be thorough, will hold you in place as long as you don't move away from him. Doesn't mind being the initiator or the other way around, but tends to lean more towards verbal praise.
Faust: Too nervous to initiate. Feels more secure if you engage with her first and take a partial lead. The concept of failing to perform well instills dread in her. Needs to feel like she's good at something even if she hasn't tried it before. Prefers to avoid full on lip kisses if she's given the option, enjoys peppering the skin or corners of the mouth.
Don Quixote: Eager. Eager is the word for her. She'll bump teeth and it will hurt, but he's charming enough to make it work. Very, very forward, the type who likes PDA in moments of excitement but otherwise tries to be professional in public. Tastes like whatever fixer brand chapstick he's wearing that day. Her cuteness aggression can be very intense and you have to live with that.
Ryōshū: Intense. Tests you. A lot. You aren't getting a real kiss on the first or fifth attempt. She's somewhat like a feral cat that lets you close but won't let you pet her unless you bring out the wet food, metaphorically. Prefers to rile her partner up, rather than indulge. This is a game to her and she is having fun.
Meursault: You will have to initiate. Meursault is not the kind of person that is likely to act on his own impulses, unless his someone has shown similar inclinations. Not the hugest fan of kissing on a texture level but can tolerate it. In moments where she might feel incredibly inclined, he would most likely jump to straight up biting your neck. Not hard, mind, just love bites.
Hong Lu: Hong Lu is. Yeah. She kisses well but you don't really want to hear the story about why. And she'll tell you. I think she's really curious about the whole experience, but doesn't really understand what people do or don't like. Very willing to learn though. She tastes really good from whatever products she uses and it's a really nice sensory experience.
Heathcliff: Soft. Yearnful. He clings and he whines if you want to part too soon for his tastes. He has this huge tough guy facade, as we all know, but he's a real softie once he's got you alone. He's a loverboy. Initiates about half of the time, he likes it equal. Lips are chapped but they're warm. Doesn't do tongue a lot but doesn't necessarily mind it. Not ready for something serious after All That.
Ishmael: Tends to take over and be dominant in her affection if you aren't Qeequeg. But can be convinced that she doesn't have to be. Her lips are chapped and warm as well, and if you catch her pre-canto she'll most likely taste a little bit like mermaid oil products. After, less so. But for the mostpart i don't really think she's interested in anyone after All That.
Rodion: Rodion is usually down for whatever. She likes to tease and get reactions, so it doesn't really matter if you're her friend, lover, or rival. The fact that she sticks in your mind when she's not around strokes her ego. Absolutely loves holding you in her lap and embarrassing the hell out of you. This attitude is not compatible with most sinners but country girls make do. She thinks it's so cute when others get all huffy and red.
