Today's Swedish lesson: "Pantertant", meaning "panther lady" (or possibly "panther aunt"), is a Swedish term meaning an old woman who is still vital, lively and active.
When The Golden Girls was broadcast in Sweden, it was titled Pantertanter ("Panther Ladies"). I'm not entirely sure if the term "pantertant" already existed before then, or if it had its origins in the Swedish title for the TV series. According to Swedish Wiktionary, the earliest known usages of the term was in 1987.
