Okay maybe I've been listening to too much Yaelokre recently and reading too much autopilot AU stuff, but I feel like And the Hound fits that AU perfectly

my lyrical analysis under cut:

"A kindling of a swordless bloodshed" ok Legs slowly dying from the loss of control over his own body. Not violent, not brutal, but still just as lethal

"And the hound is humming you a lie, a lullaby" The hound being Louis, telling Owen and Legs that it's better if he's the one in control of Legs' body. A Very Very Bad thing to anyone else, but disguised by Louis as something they might actually want. A chance for the Doc to do good, and a way for Owen to get him back

"Stuck in the middle of a forest made of flesh and bones" This line really just makes me think of Oakhurst in general, where everyone, the humans and the vampires are forced to be surrounded by death, whether permanently or just leading into vampirism

"But they can't hear you talk, talk, talk about every little thing, every little thing" This is what I imagine the possession feels like from the Doc's side, not being able to communicate even a little bit with all the townsfolk

"It clicks and it clatters in corners and borders and they will never hear me here" This also works with my previous point about Legs not being able to talk or be heard from his own body (also I like it because there is quite literally a border keeping everyone inside the town)

"And the hound is howling" I feel like this near the end of the song might show how Louis's lies that were once subtle and unnoticeable can no longer be ignored, and Owen has to reckon that with the version of Louis he's had in his head

but yeah that's all, I just love analyzing lyrics and making songs about things they weren't originally

I know that the whole trust bite scene with Owen and Legs is supposed to be serious and all, but I can't get over the fact that the entire time there's just a floating tree in the background

It would go so hard but I definitely do not have the time to make that
