In 1969 a paper model kit of the lunar module was distributed as a free promotional item by Gulf oil. “The model came in four sheets and required literally hours of cutting, folding, inserting tabs and sliding various pieces together. And it was all rendered in high-quality, four-color, semi gloss paper stock,” The original kit is very hard to find but  the Lower Hudson Valley Paper Model E-Gift Shop has developed an amazingly detailed, free full-sized rendering of the kit, which you can print out on heavy stock and assemble at home.
