the Ice Queen & the Winter Spirit
“Oh the Ice Queen will be so mad!”
It was a phrase Jack heard frequently from frantic winter spirits that were less than a decade old. Still fresh and new to the whole concept of bringing snow, they seemed deathly afraid of the so called Ice Queen they often spoke about. For all the years Jack had been around, spreading what varied from gentle snow fall to fierce bone biting blizzards, all he knew about the Ice Queen was from the panicked whispers of his fellow season spirits.
He guessed it was time he found out for himself instead of taking in their panic as words set in stone.
This was probably the reason why Jack was flying right now through what could’ve been a winter wonderland if not for the current snow storm. But, being a winter spirit did have its perks so he didn’t have much difficulty navigating through it as anyone else would have.
It was only when he was closer did he see the ice palace. He quickly landed in front of the large, grand doors without taking his eyes off the palace almost as if he were mesmerized. It took a moment for Jack to shake off his awe for it wasn’t everyday he saw tall palaces made of only ice and looked so…well, majestic.
Maybe there really was an Ice Queen living inside.
To Jack’s surprise, all it took to open the door of ice was a gentle push. The opening was small enough for Jack to enter through easily and once he did, it closed behind him.
That didn’t look like it was going to open any time soon.
With not many choices on hand, Jack started to wander inside. It seemed empty for the most part but who knew what he’d find if he continued to walk forward as he did now? The palace seemed just as grand on the inside as it was on the outside and amazement found Jack again. Without putting much thought about it, he called out:
“Hello?”

Sasuke didn't move a muscle, even as the kunai sped towards him. "Battles are fought with words, Kakashi--they only end in blades and lives." Kusanagi gave a metallic hiss as it left its scabbard and the ringing of metal and metal rained shortly after, rendering the kunai useless in the ground. Still, he made no move to attack. One too many times, Sasuke had made out for the lives and harm of others and he'd promised himself he wouldn't anymore unless absolutely necessary. This was not the case.
The faintest hints of a smile teased the edges of his masked lips; how true, how true--How recent. Such a thought coming from Sasuke was certainly new, a fresh thing that granted the silver haired Jounin a rush of emotion he had not felt in a long while, even just slightly, relief.
“A very idealistic thing for you to say, Sasuke,” Kakashi’s words were as easy as they ever had been, never once reflecting the intent that washed behind his heterochromatic gaze; Scarlet gleamed against the sun, tomoe spun and slowed, ticking in an endless rotation in time with his very heart. A flash of heat lit in the Jounin’s palm, white hot and crackling with energy he knew sasuke understood. The charge surged through his fingers, illuminating his gaze and setting the remaining Kunai within his grasp ablaze with surging chakra.
“Can you end this battle with your words?”
The query was gone the instant it came, and the roar of his energy came at all ends, drowning out the sunlight and surrounding the last Uchiha in its blinding calamity.
//Hey! I'm Cherry thanks for the follow :) I was wondering if you wanted to RP--I've got a Sasuke and a Kushina muse from Naruto-verse, so either of them would be good. Lemme know if you're down to plot! XD xx
//No problem! Thank you for the follow back and rping does sound inviting! I’ll let you know when I think of something so we can rp!”\\
"It has," Sasuke agreed, passive and soft, eyes cast about the rippling field of green, so much like the ocean hundreds of miles away. Sasuke had always liked the sea, it reminded him that the only ever constant in life was change, and that alone rooted him because it gave him the strength to hope that things will change, they will, they will, they will. He sighed and turned to Kakashi, walls inching down slowly, "So, Kakashi-sensei, what is it you wanted to talk about?"
There was a flash of silver, and a cruel sliver of light that emanated against the unwavering edge of Kakashi’s freshly drawn Kunai. His body relaxed with the oncoming rush of what he knew would come next, the familiar tides of battle—even if it was simply a test;
“Words come last, Sasuke,” Kakashi replied simply, the setting sun playing a haunting melody against the gray hue of his lone eye. His hand moved in a familiar motion, habitually thumbing the area that had so frequently bore his forehead protector before a flash of red birthed itself behind his silver fringe. The familiar eye—the spinning wheel of chaos. He would see—he would see for himself if Sasuke was genuine; it was a way only the war torn and blood thirsty truly knew how to communicate—it was through actions, not words. No, those came last.
“Defend yourself.” The calm command was all that remained of the Jounin; lingering only in the wake of the dust he’d kicked in the instant he vanished from sight.
Any looks of confusion would have to wait until afterwards, for the barrage of Kunai that followed the vanishing act had been a swift one.

Mason closed his eyes as she kissed away at his face, pausing at his lips. His eyes traveled to hers and he slowly set her down, however he didn’t let go of her waist, “Yep.” he said, popping the p. “Did you get more beautiful?” he asks, raising his eyebrows.
