This is for my fellow millenial artists who grew up watching a lot of PBS🥹😭
I absolutely loved Pappyland when I was a kid! I distinctly remember sitting in front of the TV with my sketchbook, trying to follow along while Pappy Drewitt here brought a new cartoon character to life, each week. I wanted so much to see my drawings featured in the “Hall of Frames” segment at the end of every episode!
This show meant so much to me, and still does. It was really fun and whimsical, and I felt so seen🧡there weren’t a lot of programs back then specifically for art kids, let alone ones with a wild imagination. Pappyland was all of those things, and I’ll always remember it fondly.
I dunno if Michael Cariglio still has an active social media profile, but if he does happen to see this, I hope he knows how much brighter this show made my childhood🙏
