So...I interpretate Papyrus as a young adult. That means no childish Papy etc etc. My head canon of today is...hugs!!
Papyrus in my opinion is a good hugger. He likes express affection with actions so when he has the occssion to hug you he does it. His favourite type is the behind hug. He found it intimate and is a really good method for let everyone understand the two of you is a thing. He feels more manly too!
Sans, in my interpretation, hugs only Papyrus and, obviously, more the little brother grows more he ask personal space. That's normal. But it means also less huggs for our favourite skelly commedian. He don't mind. Until you came. In the moment he found a special other he'll try everything for gain your attention. Huggs are a part of it. He adores appear on your legs when you are working or chilling by your own and ask attention. Prefers be the smool spoon, while Papyrus want to show you he's the best big spoon that exist.
