Lakeside || George & Isabelle
George was glad for the nice day that today had turned out to be, the perfect weather for a picnic in his opinion; sunny with puffy clouds, and a nice breeze. He had hoped that it would be like this, and the lakefront had ended up being a good choice after all. It made him smile even more than he already had been since walking out of the palace just a half hour ago.
He placed his arm on the top of the basket as he walked towards the old willow tree by the lake in Wonderland Park, the leather strap digging into his shoulder a little more with the added weigh. With his other hand, he shifted the strap hanging across his chest away from his neck and picked up his pace as he grew closer to the willow tree. Once underneath, he set the picnic basket down on the grass, bending down to open it up and pull the white blanket out. He shook the blanket out a few times, letting the other end flutter down to the ground as he lowered it before sitting down on the blanket, the picnic basket beside him. A smile spread across his face as he leaned back on his elbows, looking out through the branches of the willow that grazed the surface of the lake.
He sat that way for just a few moments longer before he opened the picnic basket and began to lay everything out, he wanted everything to be ready for when the person arrived. He moved things around a few times, and left the bottle of merlot and the glasses in the basket, but had the plates sitting in the middle of the blanket. He was leaving everything besides where the picnic was and what George had brought up to whomever it was. After all, he planned for this to be a fun time for them both.
