Happy Birthday, Miss Valentine || Audrey and Ada
Audrey leant over her vanity, touching up her lipstick when her phone buzzed, alerting her to Ada’s presence downstairs. She sent a quick tect telling the girl to be patient, and turned back to her vanity. Tabitha was curled up on her own little bed next to Audrey’s, watching as Audrey preened.
Finally, satisfied with her appearance - and the amount of time she had made Ada wait - Audrey pulled her satin robe and made her way downstairs. She was in a great mood; not only was AnneMarie not home, but Gerard had promised to catch an early flight to be home in time to take Audrey out to breakfast before school. Her bare feet made little sound on the wood-floored hall, and she pulled open the door with a smile. “Glad to see you found your way easily.”
