did you ever have any headcanons about what audrey and aaron's kids would be like (if they had any)? and good luck on your travels by the way :)
Hello anon! Thank you so much for the well wishes; I have had a wonderful travel time so far, but have been so completely busy that I have barely had time to breathe!! (but i did win the family boxing day quiz single-handedly so that was awesome.) I hope you’ve had a great holiday time and happy new year!!
As for your question, yes, I absolutely have headcanons about their kids (names, sexualities, genders, personality types, what they look like, etc etc), but I’ll par it all down and keep it to a very small amount of headcanons. You can always ask for more detailed ones if you want.
Emmeline Rose Payne;5”0’. inherited her parents’ temper problems. constantly getting suspended in school for disrupting the classroom/insubordination. hates heels, jewellery, and makeup, but has a ridiculous love for dresses and skirts and cute tights.
Spencer Jacob Payne;5”8’. genderfluid, current holder of the national under-18s lightweight boxing title; favourite film (funnily enough) is billy elliot.
Azaelia Amethyst Payne; 5”9’, a mini-Audrey in every way.
William “Wil” Cary Payne; 5”3’, eldest child. trans*. born Wilhelmina. Francophile.
Now there are plenty of other Audrey/Aaron children ideas floating around in my head (I think I’m up to twenty now??), but I thought that would bore you so I gave you this instead. I wasn’t sure how detailed or not you wanted so tried to keep it as basic as possible.
I hope you like them, though. I obviously used Aphrodite’s child (with Hermes), Hermaphroditus, as inspiration for some of the children, and also the fact that Aphrodite (and Audrey), are both very vocal about representation of all types of genders and sexualities and the like. So … yeah.
Thank you so much for the question! I opened a browser I haven’t used in a while and realised I was still logged into this account on it and that was the only reason I saw it, so I’m sorry if you sent it ages ago! I know I said I’d lurk and answer questions, but I didn’t actually think people would send any.
Well, there’s no easy way to say this but … I’m leaving. I haven’t been fair on a lot of you, with my inability to hold plots, continue paras, make connections, and my constant semi-and-full hiatuses this year haven’t helped one iota. And seeing as I’m on a European holiday for the next two months, and then off to Japan for a year only three weeks later — well, it just makes the most sense for me to leave. And I’m taking Audrey and Heath with me.
Don’t fret!! I’ve written replacement biographies for Aphrodite and Hermes, both of which illustrate a different side of the gods to the ones Audrey and Heath showed, but they’re still Aphrodite and Hermes and I’m sure you’ll love them just as much as you came to love Audrey and Heath. I won’t be deleting Audrey’s account (to which Heath is a sideblog), and I will be checking in from time to time to answer questions (be it about me/my travels/my life/Audrey/Audrey’s interests [that ‘furniture’ and ’disney princess’ anon was actually fab i’d love more like that!!!]) so I’ll still be around a little bit. I will also be making Audrey and Heath their own indie rp accounts (I don’t have to be so active on my own rp account like that), so if anyone wants to URLs, I’ll happily give them to you once they're made (I have made an Audrey account, but I will be deleting that and starting afresh).
Thank you to all current, past, and future MOH rpers for putting faith into something I created two and a half years ago. It was born out of the realisation that there was a severe lack of greek mythology-based rps, and the fact that I was far too lazy to write a story about the Greek Gods as humans in a modern-day high school. Thank you for taking part in something so important to me. Thank you for being the first people I ‘came out to’ about being Hellenic Polytheistic, and not laughing when I posted pictures of my altars, or waxed lyrical about how Hermes or Aphrodite had blessed me that day. Thank you for bringing this all to life; I couldn’t have done it without all of you. I never imagined it would get this big.
I’m going to miss you all, and you can always reach me on kik: inkedartx; on my personal: hbcisthehbic; or on Skype: foreverendeavour, and I’m sorry it had to be this way. I hoped that slowly inching away from you all by not really returning after my hiatus ended would make this easier, but it hasn’t.
I had planned for this letter to be really long, but it isn’t and I think I’ve said everything.
Good luck on graduating MOH — I hear it feels like you never really leave.
Darwin may have been quite correct in his theory that man descended from the apes of the forest, but surely woman rose from the frothy sea, as resplendent as Aphrodite on her scalloped chariot.
what about Audrey do you think would be different if she had been raised by a loving mother instead of an abusive one?
That's a really good question. I think Audrey would feel less of a need to prove herself so completely, and she'd feel more relaxed rather than on edge all the time. Her temper wouldn't be as evident, and she'd be less obsessed and attached to Gerard. She'd definitely be a little more easy-going and less haughty.
does audrey have like empire style furniture? it's a weird question but I've always wondered what type of furniture audrey would like
She absolutely adores Empire style furniture, you're right! But, if pressed, she'd most likely -- and very surprisingly -- choose Art Deco furniture and trimmings over anything else. Gerard was a huge fan of art deco, and it's something that she's inherited from him. Ideally, in her own house, she'd have a different furniture style in each room: Art deco, Edwardian, Victorian, Rococo, and Empire-style/Neoclassicism.
In summation, most of the furniture in her house is vintage art deco, thanks to her father's tastes. She does, however, love the opulent style of Empire-style furniture.
Food tray in hand, Hannah’s eyes scanned the cafeteria, looking for an open seat. Usually, she would sit with her friends, or maybe a classmate, but today, none of hem were in sight. (Perhaps the fact that she barely had any close friends, even at this stage of her high school life, had a part in her failed quest for seats.)
“Hey, move it," interrupted a voice behind her.
"Eep! Sorry!" Ducking her head and trying not to draw too much bad attention to herself, Hannah scurried away, and planted herself at the first empty table she found, breathing a sigh of relief. When she looked up, however, she noticed that someone else had actually already occupied this table. But… at least it was only one person, right?
"Oh… hi!" Hannah said, putting on her biggest smile and reaching over to shake a hand. "I’m Hannah, Hannah Kim! It’s really really nice to meet you, wow, you look really nice today! I, um, were you waiting for anybody here? Sorry, I really needed a place to sit, and I um, I don’t have a lot of friends here yet, so—" She would’ve kept going, had she not suddenly felt the need to breathe. "I mean… yeah."
Audrey barely glanced up from her phone when she heard someone seat themselves on her table. Usually she would shoo them away with a well-placed eyebrow raise, but not today. Today, she was far too busy ordering another few pairs of heels from Modcloth to really care about whomever was seated at her table.
She did, however, pay attention when the person started actively attempting to garner her attention. Audrey's gaze flickered from the girl's face, down her her outstretched hand, and back up again. She didn't reach out a hand in acknowledgment; didn't even so much as look like she was going to shake the other girl's hand, but instead she flicked her hair off her shoulder in a smooth, flawless motion.
"I know I look nice today," Audrey said primly, finally actually acknowledging the girl's attempt at conversation. Once more her gaze flickered across the girl's form, taking her all in. She waited until the girl -- Hannah, wasn't it? -- had taken a few breaths, and, looking at her phone again, answered the myriad of questions. "Well, Hannah, I'm Audrey, and no, I'm not waiting on anyone but that still doesn't mean you can sit here daily. It can happen today - as long as, like, you're not a disgusting eater or a mouth-breather - but it will not be a common occurrence." She paused, only to enter in her credit card details, before continuing, "Everyone here's quite welcoming, so you'll probably make friends quickly. Unless, like, you're really weird." Audrey looked at Hannah over the top of her phone. "'Cause if you're weird, you can't sit here today, either. You aren't, are you?"
Random question but which disney proncessdo you think Audrey would relate to the most?
Ariel and Belle.
Why Ariel?
Ariel is rash, hot-headed, dramatic, and will do almost anything for love. She also falls in love with Eric instantaneously -- something I think Audrey is unfortunately very prone to, and something she dreams about often (love at first sight). Audrey is also the type to be completely blinded by love so as to not see the bad things it brings/causes/etc (the cons of Ariel's agreement with Ursula; the inability to be with her family any more), and it's for that reason that she definitely relates to Ariel -- but of course, Audrey romanticises Ariel and forgets all the bad things that happen on account of Ariel's falling in love with Eric.
Why Belle?
note: this response has mostly to do with the ship, Audron.
Audrey is smart -- far smarter than anyone gives her credit for, far smarter than she lets on -- just like Belle. She's also the kind to sacrifice herself for those she loves, though the list of those people is very, very short: there's only about four names on that list.
For the most part, however, she relates to Belle's relationship with the Beast/Adam. Aaron is Audrey's Beast. People often just see the bad, aggressive, 'ugly' side of Aaron; Audrey sees past that, to the nicer side of him, the side of him with which she has fallen completely in love. She brings out the good side of him, and when they're alone he all but 'transforms' into Adam, just like the Beast does at the end of the film.
These responses are kinda completely terrible, but I hope they made sense and answered your question!
"Ew. Co-ed sports. Unless, like, you meant having a boys team and a girls team in each sport, then that's fine. But if, like, you meant having girls and boys on the same team -- ew."
