JESS’S EXTRA BLURB. dorothea having a melee-ranged synergy with lucina on the field would be pretty cool, like a frontline swordsman with backline mage support. i don’t doubt for a second that they would work well together. their friendship would be... wholesome, with dorothea’s outgoing demeanor balancing lucina’s more serious one.
and i don’t want to be too presumptuous but i’m absolutely down to see where romantic feelings might take them! dorothea herself isn’t shy of flirting with a gorgeous and skilled knight of seiros... but she doesn’t process deeper romantic feelings as nicely, so if both of them are pining, it might be a slow burn hah. though if one of them nearly lost their life in war, dorothea would be much more inclined to act...

MORE DETAILS. full disclaimer: i’m playing awakening as we speak but i’m not very far and as such i dont so far have a very strong impression what lucina’s character is like so all my thoughts are coming mostly from edelgard’s side, hah. given they’re inherently on opposite sides, whatever they manage to build pre-timeskip will likely be totally soured after the timeskip. as far as edelgard is concerned though, she holds great respect for knightly women, for strength and i can see them bonding over sparring. i could see edelgard maybe even with a baby crush on lucina (girls with swords 😤👌) but it doesn’t go as far as an unrequited romance bc edelgard has too much self control than that. it does seem inevitable though, without further plotting / me having a stronger idea of lucina’s character, that they’re destined to see each other across a battlefield, though. / @paralelfalchion
