Goretober Day 3 - Internal Inspection
just the first iteration of something i've been wanting to draw but am still not 100% satisfied with. still, i'm happy with how it turned out regardless! especially love the hands...

Goretober Day 2 - Barbed Wire
ft. Aventurine bc that's just what i wanted (and also bc the docket has a lot of caelus on it rn... having regen abilities makes you a prime target hehe)
i got tired towards the end and decided i just couldn't be bothered to render the blood on the right hand so, we're calling it done here. i love rendering shiny drippy stuff~ if it's got highlights, i'm in
Goretober Day 10 - "Teeth"
Decided to do something simple for myself today, since yesterday was a pretty complex one. So, I picked "teeth", and what better model for such a prompt than a lovely daiten? Also makes the drawing easier because I can draw daiten heads in my fuckin sleep by now. However, this is the first time I've managed to get the double rows of teeth to look right, so that's fun!
Oh and I know this isn't HSR or fic related, but since I've been uploading my goretober pieces here already, I figured 1 or 2 non-HSR pieces wouldn't hurt.
2025 Goretober Collection
Aaand that's a wrap! Here is (almost) every piece I completed for this month; a few days were skipped for one reason or another, but I usually tried to incorporate the skipped day's prompt in whatever I worked on the day after. Definitely learned so much through this challenge and I'm really proud of myself for sticking it through to the end.
Considering NaNoWriMo is no more, I'm glad I had this to kinda "fill the space". It feels strange sitting here, on November 1st, without any reason to be racing to hit a word count. I'm sure in future years I'll do my own personal "wrimo", because I do like the challenge, but on the other hand I've spent this entire year writing a "novel" of sorts, and I think it's the most I've written in a single year in my entire life, so... perhaps setting myself a 50k word count goal right now would be overkill, haha.
Anyway, which ones are your favorites? My top three are days 3, 5, and 25; fun to draw and fun to look at!
Goretober Days 27-28 - "Slice" + "Bite"
Catching up on my Goretober backlog with smaller, simpler pieces. I also subbed out the original prompts for these days because they'd require much more complex composition and I literally don't have the time for that.
I'll be doing days 29 and 30 tomorrow, in the same way I've done here, and then hopefully I can go all out for day 31 as the finale of the month. I'll also make a post featuring every single piece I finished (that I can share) after I'm finished with that.
Goretober Day 12 - "Torn In Half"
Well, not really torn, but I didn't give myself all that much time to work on this so I had to make some concessions. I was supposed to do something simplified/stylized for this pose... better luck next time I guess, lol.
Goretober Day 18 - "Body Horror"
This time the "no identifying features" is intentional, hehe. You won't know who this is for the next 3 years...
I could have pushed this further, but it was getting late and I was getting tired. I tried to make the figure itself very simple so I could focus on the horror, but both the intent and the execution failed horribly after I spent a gazillion years on the hands, and then was too tired to do more with the rest. Still, all things considered, it turned out pretty nice I think.
Baleful Golden Eyes
Today's Goretober prompt gave me the opportunity to draw a scene from my fanfic, Stonewound Heart, and I couldn't pass that up. I got super absorbed in the details so I hope y'all appreciate the rendering of the tiles and all the grim on the mirror and sink.
If this has at all caught your eye (heh), consider checking out the work here on AO3!
