alexis had a habit of falling into patterns. she connects with someone, builds a friendship with them, and she ruins is all by getting intimate with them. as soon as they’re done, she shuts them out and never speaks to them again. it’s all she has time for. it’s all she sees herself worth as. never does she usually keep the other person in her life, but she and harry had a special type of connection: they had a special friendship. they had an understanding between each other. outside of the bedroom, harry was just easy to talk to and to spend time with. and maybe that’s why alexis found herself rolling over her bed, texting the curly haired man late at night. “hey, are you awake?” she sends the text, quickly typing out the next one before he can respond. “do you want to come over?”

cindy could feel the music pulsing through her veins as she wandered through a crowd of people, drink clutched in her hand. there were too many unfamiliar faces in the crowd. just awhile ago she had been in conversation with a friend, but they wandered off, leaving her to find her way. inside was getting too crowded. her mind was clouded, her body temperature rising due to the heat radiating off the crowd. she just needed to step outside and catch her breath. squeezing through a small circle, the woman manged to make it to the back deck, where the mass was lessened. she just so happened to notice a familiar face. heading to where they were out, cindy greeted them. “was it getting to hot in there for you too?”
