So my debate team just started practicing again, and we were reviewing our Robert's Rules Of Order motions and on withdraw, our coach is like "Now remember guys, you can't withdraw someone else's motion. If I move an amend, Elyssa can't withdraw my amend because it isn't hers" and then I realized that the entire exchange was the Parliamentary Procedure equivalent of the classic Tumblr "how do I delete someone else's post?"

i fucking hate parliamentary procedure with every ounce of my being. it is a curse on the lowly student who joined the agriculture class because she needed the credit to advance to the desired veterinary classes. i’m not joining the ffa and so i don’t give a single flying fuck about your stupid fucking procedure and my entire group of seven other people are fucking useless and i just did about 70 percent of the project myself. fuck y’all. come on

I was driving to the state debate competition with my team, and I was just sort of daydreaming and looking out the window when I saw a tree with one giant limb that grew into the ground before curving back up like a whole new tree. It was really bizarre, and I wanted to point it out to my team, but what I said was, "That tree... It's growing out of the GROUND".

I had my first parli pro competition today and learned sooo much. I got the overall high score on my team and the high scores for debate, presentation, and tied for high test score on my team. can't wait for next competition!
