angsty starter for @confidxnteveryday
“Y-You’re the most interesting person I’ve m-met here.” Parsons said with a shy smile across his face, which had grown unusually pale since he was had arrived at this care facility. His memory faded in and out daily like a badly tuned radio, he was never completely sure what this place was for. It was a long-term care facility though they offered outpatient services and the sea of faces constantly going in and out made it difficult for him to remember the faces of friends.
“It’s m-mostly old guys still thinking- thinking they’re in Vietnam. I know where I am.” The confidence was easily faked, he couldn’t remember the name of the place or where it was. He figured he was in DC but that was just a guess. He wobbled over to the armchair near Samar and sat down, gripping his tennis ball with white-knuckles. He wanted to bounce it but if he didn’t catch it on the rebound, getting it back would be no easy task. “Are you from th-this area?”
