Parsons hobbled down the hallway, his boots scuffing the floor as he leaned against his cane with every step. It was probably going to be his last day on base, then he’d go to a hospital or somewhere he’d be able to deteriorate in peace. He knew it was for the best, he couldn’t have his coworkers see him like this but he knew he’d be away from his brothers and it saddened him. It would probably also be the last time he saw them unless they decided to go visit him but they wouldn’t do that out of the kindness of their hearts, Mother would force them to visit.

He stopped in the middle of the sheltered pathway and leaned against the dusty wall, trying to keep himself upright. It wasn’t an easy thing to do nowadays. His balance and the use of his legs faded every day. Before he knew it, he was sliding against the wall and hit the ground with a sad ka-dunk. His cane fell onto his legs and a flash of blonde hair peaked his interest. Whoever it was, maybe they could help him up without catching anyone else’s notice or interest. Parsons closed his eyes for a quick moment then opened them again to find a pair of feet nearby. He was like an old man that didn’t want help but desperately needed it, he wasn’t about to argue with his mind this time and came to his senses.

“Mind helping me?” He asked, reaching out a hand.

23. Crying at a movie

Cosima knew that whatever movies Helena was able to watch as a kid had to be limited. So, she had made it her mission to show her the Disney classics. Looking back maybe Dumbo hadn’t been the best idea, especially when it seemed even Helena got teared up at the ‘baby of mine’ scene. “Hey, it’s alright. It gets to me too.” A watery laugh sounded from her as she reached forward to grab tissues. Handing the box to Helena she gave her an empathetic look.
