[Text from Natasha:] Bring a case of strawberry wine and a DVD of an action movie to my place, fifteen minutes. There’s a happy ending in it for you if you do.
[Text from Clint:] I'll be there in ten.
[Text from Natasha:] There are approximately 1,013,913 words in the English language, but I could never string any of them together to explain how much I want to hit you with a chair.
[Text from Clint]: I expected the end of that sentence to be very different... [Text from Clint]: Can you try to explain with some of those 1,013,913 words though? Because I think it would be almost as entertaining as you looking up how many words in the English language there are. [Text from Clint]: I'm not coming out until you put the chair down.
[text] YOU SAID THE BITES WEREN’T EVEN THAT VISIBLE?!?! MY BOSS HAS JUST GIVEN ME A SCARF TO COVER UP MY NECK FOR BEING “INAPPROPRIATE”
[text from Remus] You can change your hair color and turn your nose into a beak, but not get rid of a hickey? And here I thought your transformation was a bit more useful…
"You don’t need to be so gentle.” [Either or both!]
Finnick froze. What? He could scarcely believe the words that had spilled from Annie’s lips. She had always been so sweet and innocent, and he’d always been concerned that he’d corrupt her. Not now though, the girl that he’d tried to play it safe with for ages now was telling him that he was being too soft. Finnick considered her words for just a moment, and finally he nodded slightly. If Annie wanted him to be a bit rougher, more passionate, Finnick would give her what she desired. Over the years he’d learned how to be a versatile lover in order to please the women that bought his time, and why give Annie any less than what she desired?
His lips met hers firmly, his teeth tugged skimming along the edges of them. One hand finding her hips to bind her to him, the other snaked its way into her hair, tangling itself there. Annie was still a virgin, and Finnick intended to keep her that way for as long as he could, he didn’t want to steal her purity from her as the women of the Capitol had robbed him. Of course, that didn’t mean that he didn’t enjoy kissing her like this, and all the more now that he could be himself rather than her guardian. She was teaching him, always teaching him, showing Finnick that intimacy didn’t have to be purely physical but emotional and filled with love as well.
"Do you remember this?" [Annie to Finnick]
"Yeah," he croaked. Pained eyes met hers for just a moment before breaking away to look at the tube which she’d be taken away in shortly. His fingers grasped desperately at the ends of her hair, as if he could keep his tribute with him if only he could touch her. "Yeah, I remember," Finnick said again, but this time his voice was more stable. "I was afraid too, but I came home. I swear I’ll get you home too." He would dammit. He would do anything to protect the girl that he’d come to adore over the last few years. The young man leaned forward and kissed Annie on the forehead gently, giving her a soft, weak smile before he let her go and stepped away. "See you soon," his words were barely a whisper and just a second later the tube closed and Annie was lifted away, leaving him to the darkness of the room and his own grief.
"Do you love me?" [Doe to Remus]
Remus froze. It was a question that he’d long avoided answering. Even in his own head the thought had been too much to bother with, and so it had been avoided. His pale eyes searched the ground before him as he tried to gather his thoughts and not be distracted by the girl standing before him. Unfortunately his mind betrayed him, rather than allowing him to sort through the answer to her question logically, his thoughts wizzed by at a thousand miles a minute and he couldn’t grasp any single thought.
It was only after some struggle that Remus managed to find something that could point him in the right direction. There, in his mind, was the memory of the young woman kissing the unmarked skin beside the his facial scar. Never had he been touched like her, not physically nor emotionally, and so Remus had his answer. Finally his eyes turned upward, and he shrugged his shoulders in defeat. “I do, Doe,” he muttered. This was not a triumphant cry of his adoration, but the humble admittance of a man who’d never meant to fall in love. “I love you, Doe.”
