Partnered Up
Being a Mechanical Engineer major wasn't exactly the easiest thing to do in the world, but it was what he loved. Working with metal and taking a few medical classes on the side was great! Although, he hadn't really had as much time with on-hand assignments as he'd like, Wes just figured he'd get most of his experience once he was out and in the field. What he was most excited about was a side project that he had been working on for years though and what he had learned so far in his college career was helping him tremendously.
What he wasn't really expecting on the first day of class was to be paired up with someone for the rest of the semester, and the worst part was, they didn't get to choose their partners. This was a general engineering course that all those pursuing a career in the field of Engineering had to take, but it was also a course made up of mostly underclassmen. Wes was a Junior at the moment and could point out only a few other upperclassmen as well. When his name was called along with another boy's name that he slightly recognized, he looked around to catch the eye of the person he'd be partnered with for the rest of the semester and then smiled when he saw them.
Standing up, he crossed the room and sat down next to his new partner, putting out his hand to shake the other's. "I think we've been in a few classes together, I'm Wes."
