Ranking concerts I went to in 2024 from least best to best. I’d go see all of these ppl again, and I’m not saying I disliked any of their shows. All of them are great performers, and I’d totally recommend them. Let’s begin!
10. Nicki Minaj- only reason she’s so low is because she made us wait two hours on a weekday for her to come out and didn’t have that much energy when she finally did perform. She had an incredible setlist though and I was grateful to hear some songs I grew up with live
9. Matt Bennett- he’s amazing and I’d totally love to go see him next time he does Party101. He’s only this low because the other shows were better but honestly I give that show a 8/10.
8. Billie Eilish- I feel like if my seats were better I’d have this higher on my list, but the show itself was gorgeous. The beautiful blue colors were amazing and her opening act was great too. Billie is one of a kind :)
7. Joshua Bassett- living proof that you don’t need a full arena to have a blast. He’s VERY interactive with the crowd, so much so that it’s common for him to navigate through the entire room to ensure everyone had a chance to be near him. Loved his track list but it felt like the show should’ve been longer
6. Def Leppard, Journey, and Steve Miller Band- incredible line up and I had third row seats! Despite their age, they really know how to throw it down and put on a show. It’s a nice reminder on why they’ve been around for as long as all of them have
5. Janet Jackson- it’s insane how much she can still move like that. Proof age shouldn’t hold you back! However she did seem to let her background dancers do the heavier lifting, but I don’t blame her for that due to her age. She was truly one of the coolest people I’ve seen live in general and it being a concert I went to with my mom made it more special
4. Missy Elliott, Ciara, Busta Rhymes, and Timbaland- This combo was truly something to behold. Timbaland wasn’t impressive tbh, but the other three killed it! The special effects missy used were everything and she performed all her best hits. Ciara’s dancing is otherworldly, but that’s not all that shocking if you’ve seen her perform before. Busta’s fit ate and his rapping is so fresh and clean
3. Megan Thee Stallion- such an amazing dancer and rapper. She performed almost every single one of my fav songs and Glorilla opening for her was the cherry on top. I can’t wait to see what she does in the future since I know she’s destined for greatness
2. Sabrina Carpenter- I’m so proud of her. She’s deserved all the love and praise she received this year after YEARS of trying to make it big in the music scene. I’m glad it paid off and it definitely showed at her show. I was obsessed with the sets and dancing and she performed all her best hits as well. Her comedy is immaculate and the stuff that came with the VIP stuff was super cool, 10/10 experience
1. Usher!!!- first of all, it was an honor to meet him and take a pic with him. He was very sweet. Only complaint was that he took fucking forever to come out. I had great seats and got great videos and pics from my spot. All the surprise guests did so well. He brought out damn near every black artists and some of those ppl were in the crowd. He sang literally all my favs by him. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 1000/10
