Flourishing Fun with flourishing is key to enjoying it. That fun can come to an abrupt halt because we don’t understand how and why the flourish works. There are strict rules to flourishing which relate to the placement of lines at certain angles to confine the overall shape. Tuesday 4th May, 7pm - 10pm GMT, £5, we look at the history of flourishes. How they developed in our Western Calligraphic Tradition and really WHAT constitutes a flourish. We start in the 2nd century CE and come up to the present day. Sunday 9th May, 1pm to 630pm GMT, £45, I will teach you my innovative Geometric Approach to Flourishing. I have taught this a few times and the reaction is always one of shock in how I simplify learning to execute a well balanced flourish but also in teaching you how to look at what you have done and correct it. This workshop is an introduction but will start you off on an exciting path to better, more well balanced flourishes. Link in Bio.
