I had about an hour to myself today. No husband, no baby, just me. Tomorrow is my son’s 1st birthday and I had forgot to figure out his birthday cake. At first I was going to make it then I was going to order one. And then I forgot because life. And on Monday night I realized I would not have time to make one and I was pretty sure it was too late to order one so I was feeling pretty bad about myself. I had a small pity party then decided to just reach out to my cake lady and see if it was at all possible to get two cakes made. I was successful and just got back from meeting her. It got me thinking about this month’s theme of GRACE. Grace is compassion. All too often its easy to have compassion for others in our hearts but what about ourselves? I have always held myself to high standards and when I fail I beat myself up over it. One thing that motherhood has taught me this past year is that you HAVE to grant yourself some grace. Humans are far from perfect and why we feel we have to reach for perfection is beyond me. Life is messy and hard, we make big mistakes, we fail, and then you have to pull yourself back up and try again. During this crazy time we are living through right now we need to remember to be kind to one another and to ourselves. During this time I keep reminding myself: “I don’t have to be perfect, I just have to BE.” 2nd photo is my after the pen this week. I added a little affirmation and the Rules to Becoming a Drag Queen because I needed some encouragement. #passionplannerambassador #passionplanner #pashfam #pashambassador #pashambassadors #grace #rambling #witchplease #raedunnhalloween #plannerbabe #plannernerd https://www.instagram.com/p/CEupoosJnTN/?igshid=1a3gzlh1d0e1z
