A William Henry Jackson Moment by Kendall Collins Via Flickr: The Overland Limited has stopped on a ledge outside of the tunnel on Donner Pass. The passengers can get out and see the view from the ledge as the train prepares for the trip Eastward towards cities like Reno in Nevada before heading to Ogden, Utah. Mr. William Henry Jackson took the time to take a picture of the scene before the train departed from the spot. A fun experiment using a dirt pile, some models and track, and figures from one WHJ photo. I like this all comes together.

"GREAT...SCOTT!!!" by Kendall Collins Via Flickr: After getting struck by lightning in 1955, the Doc finds himself in the deserts outside of Hill Valley, CA in January 1885. Not only did he endure a crash landing, but he nearly got hit by the oncoming train. Those passengers are getting an eyeful from seeing that weird carriage next to their train. It's going to be eight months before he sends that letter to Marty.

Wreck Of The Wonderland Flyer by Kendall Collins Via Flickr: This was the aftermath of the Wonderland Flyer derailed in a clearing near Sherwood Forest. The little train was racing through the woods when it came off the tracks and fall down the embankment. As the engine smolders on the ground, the breakdown train prepares to remove the wrecked cars from the scene. A little scene made with a set built on a table with dirt, some trains, and good lighting. I'm pleased with how this was put together.

At the siding. by Kendall Collins Via Flickr: It was another day in west Utah, as the eastbound California Zephyr passes the westbound Southern Pacific freight train heading to Sacramento, CA. It'll be a while before the track will be cleared and the freight train can proceed through the Nevada Landscape under an evening sky.

The Short Express by Kendall Collins Via Flickr: The short Express train races through the mildly cold desert. Where it's going is anyone's guess. The one thing that can be observed is how small the train and it's passengers are when compared to the wide landscape they're in. Another Photoshop experiment. This one was inspired by a real photo of a short passenger train in the desert. This was a fun project to work on.

The Little Union Pacific Train by Kendall Collins Via Flickr: Here we watch the small Union Pacific passenger train passing through the landscape of Utah. A little Photoshop project I did with some of the model trains I posed in the backyard. The background photo was from a vacation into the said state.
