I am calling this done. It may need more patches if I don' t get on and make a new quilt for our bed. I am so glad to be finished this as I am not well and it is very cold around here. It is going to be very cozy under my stars tonight.

I am calling this done. It may need more patches if I don' t get on and make a new quilt for our bed. I am so glad to be finished this as I am not well and it is very cold around here. It is going to be very cozy under my stars tonight.
The stars are all sewn on but I may have to add more. This quilt is threadbare in places and I kept finding more really thin bits. Next I will quilt the stars just to give them a bit more strength. I hope this works. I am going to have to get moving and make a new queen sized quilt.
I’m enjoying hand quilting the stars onto my nine patch quilt. The stitches are a bit on the large side but I love the variegated cotton.
We have had a very busy weekend so no time for stitching until this evening. I just have the large star left to quilt and this quilt can go back on the bed. It has been so cold I really need to get this done. I finished the green star this evening. I made the central block many years ago and I have to say my machine piecing has improved a lot since I made it. The fabric is all from the quilt though so I thought I would use it wonky seams, mismatched points and all.
I got the green star sewn on tonight. I was over heating a bit sitting under the quilt as I stitched. Hopefully I will get the purple star attached tomorrow I think I will need to add some more smaller stars as I keep finding threadbare patches as I stitch.
Two stars attached and two to go. I am so pleased to be snuggled up under this huge quilt tonight. The fan on our fire is on the fritz so we are reliant on electric heaters to keep warm until a new fan can be found. Quite literally found. It got lost in transit apparently. We are a week into this fire repair and it has been very cold. Our power bill is going to be astronomical. At least I am warm when I am stitching under the quilt. Well the bits that are under the quilt are toasty the rest not so much.
