°  ♡ –––––    OMINOUS ABANDONED VILLAGES weren’t all that unusual setting for the now young adult Mio. Is it fate to be forever drawn back into the world of the paranormal? Unlike what happened before, Mio isn’t accompanied by her twin sister Mayu, but stumbled across someone near the entrance of this once lively village. Being accompanied by another was great especially in an environment like this, yet not having the comfort of her twin felt so lonely. Lonely like this village. Mio should be grateful that Mayu isn’t in this situation again.

     AND LIKE BEFORE, there happens to be another camera obscura laying in plain view near what appears to be some sort of camp. Awaiting for a new holder, to which the call was answered. Steadily and slowly, she scooped the camera into trembling hands. Expecting a ghastly hand to reach out to grab an arm, but only the chilling silence greeted the shaky girl. Relief, a sigh burst from shut lips as the stranger motions a lanky hand to keep up. Realization sank in, two cheeks flushed red with embarrassment. Doing as he said, Mio quickened the pace and stopped just as the stranger did. Head and eyes lifted for a better look at where they stopped at, what she saw caused her stomach to drop. Not a word was spoken, until a low sheepish voice broke the dead silence.    ❛ Are you sure you want to go in there? ❜

Atom arrives by night: The stranger in a strange land. A light rain applauds his entrance to the scene, and he ignores it as he makes his way on foot through the winding streets of the Town on Gorkhon.

There is no one to greet him; as had been expected. This is fine, though it means he will need to wander to find a map, or a guide. And a guide he finds; but not in the way that was expected.

After several long minutes, a spotlight catches his attention. He turns, and sees another light itself further down the road. After a few moments, another.

His following of the signs begins slowly, hesitantly, expecting at any moment to be jumped by figures in the shadows. But as his curiosity begins to boil over, he is soon enough running, sprinting, careening around corners and leaping over benches; the child within him bursting free at the pure unbridled joy that comes from the thrill of the chase.

As he sprints down the final stretch, alongside a park, approaching the building in the distance with lighted steps, he begins to slow. He is no longer young. His thigh begins to throb where it merges with prosthetic, and his lungs burn. He pauses for a minute on the steps themselves, getting his breath back. Then, he stands, appraises the illuminated doors, and enters the theatre.

♞ - physically pick my muse up and carry them

It had been months since the outbreak had come to an end, and yet he couldn't help but worry about the future. After all, it wasn't the first plague of its kind in the town and it could very well not be the last. They didn't have enough information regarding the Haruspex's cure to know for a fact that it would last forever, much less whether or not it could be carried down to someone's children - though if he had to guess, the answer would likely be 'no.'

But he wasn't given time to ruminate further, being rudely lifted from his spot by the Haruspex in question, Dankovsky letting out a surprised yelp and quickly clinging to the larger man for safety.

"Oh! You--!" And god help the surgeon if he dropped him. "You can be so incredibly insufferable, Burakh, put me down!"

cass blinked around at her surroundings, taking it all in. there was news of something going on, that help being needed and with the various teams she frequented had been unable to act, unable to assist that she’d gone out on her own. she arrived via her own plane, landing on the outskirts of the reported town gone vastly ill. she may not be a healer but she would be able to collect any information, if needed, to send back to the various labs where the greatest minds could work on helping while she assisted the people with anything she could in the meantime. she was a middleman, she knew, but that wouldn’t stop her from making sure they were cared for and sooner than later as her obtaining the data and samples needed would help those unable to make the trip to begin vaccination creation.

she was wearing her latest costume, a mix between her black bat and batgirl costume where she has a cowl that completely covers her mouth, while retaining her arm wraps and the black and yellows of the black bat suit. the wraps having since been digitized, being able to live translate spoken language into a holograph’s 3-D portrayal of signing; and of course performing the opposite translation so non signers were able to understand and spoke it back to them via a universal translator app to match whatever their spoken language was.

her first task was to find life, she was informed that the town was deserted or nearly and so she made her way into the town, turning on her lenses heat vision as she went.

The area was supposed to be empty, not a soul in sight, and yet his ears caught something. Breathing. A heartbeat. How convenient. Quietly as he could he approached the sound, his hand flying to the pommel of his sword and taking it out of its scabbard. “I know you’re there. Come out.” He instructed in a loud enough voice. He was supposed to investigate the deaths of some young girls, and supposedly he wasn’t going to find neither witnesses nor suspects, so this was a good turn of events.
