If I'm still awake in an hour I'm gonna delete these because I told myself I wasn't gonna share them yet lol
But 3am is the hour for poor decisions so, my dear Anon, I present to you...

And Corey
Do you ever remember someone from your childhood that brings a smile to your face. Maybe they were a friend, family member, teacher, or maybe a complete stranger. Though they add something positive to your life- in big and little ways.
Growing up I knew this boy name Josh. He was a tall boy with a calm energy to him. Very mature for his age, maybe he grew up to fast. Josh was always a good listener and was able to keep his head in most situations. Looking back on it I don’t remember anything negative about Josh. We were friends in Elementary through 6 grade when he moved away, one day he was there and the next he was gone.
I remember little things- He would walk with his hands behind his back. Always looking forwards or towards you when having a conversation. He wore this bracelet on his right hand wrist and kept his hair in short braids. The poor dude had to deal with the rambles I go on, even as a kid. He stood up for what’s right and was always understanding.
One memory sticks out the most- We were the fifth grade and it was last year at the school we were going to. They add this little Palm tree near the playground heading out to the fields. I don’t remember who came up with the idea, but we decided to take some nail polish and paint our initials into the tree. It was a pretty blue green color and I had to sneak it out of the house. It was surprising when never got caught for this. We plaint our initials near the middle top section of the tree.
Time passed and I had gone back to the school during a Christmas event. We were aloud to walk around and the tree was still there with our initials in it. It was a sweet memory. He was one of the few guys that didn’t hit on me and completely saw me as a friend... it was nice to have a feeling of friendship.
There’s other people from my childhood that comes flooding back when writing this. Though when I think of my childhood Josh is usually one of the first people to show up. I miss him sometimes and hope he’s doing well.
It makes me think it’s possible to have multiple soulmates or soulmates in general (platonic, romantic, family connection, etc). Just someone who really touches a part of your soul.

I have spent countless days rethinking our relationship and wondering if we could ever be together again. Even though I know–I know–you have long since moved on and are living happily with somebody else. But can't I at least hope that one day our paths will once again cross? Even if just for a single moment… Is that too much to hope for?
