The 204th Podcast of my weekly Podcast show Invite's Choice. This show with guest: Patrick Siech One of the latest talents to emerge from the prominent Swedish techno scene, is Patrick Siech. As a club promotor, DJ and live act, he's been providing the regions of Southern Sweden with quality techno for many years. With his home base located at Adam Beyers long running techno mainstays Drumcode and Truesoul, he's in a prosperous stable of Swedish techno producers already hosting his fellow Swedish countrymen Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch, Joel Mull, Pär Grindvik, Jesper Dahlbäck, and Agaric to name a few. His hypnotic, deep and beautifully moodshifting DJ-sets are equally focused on the soul and intelligence of the music as it is on the groove, and his thoughtful and empathic approach to DJing has placed him behind the decks of esteemed venues such as Berghain, Panorama Bar and Tresor in Berlin, Awakenings in Amsterdam, plus major world dance music festivals such as Sonar, Kazantip and Amsterdam Dance Event. Home base is at the profilic club Berns 2.35:1 in Stockholm, where he holds his residency. With a preference for monotonous, dreamy and often trance influenced analogue synth landscapes, his track selection and productions spans between the darker sides of hypnotic techno, and meditative tripped out grooves. And with a huge modular synthesizer as main studio instrument he crafts tripped out synth lines enjoyable to listen to for hours, and always leaves a part of his production process to the ghost in the machine. As a thoughtful setbuilder, Patricks skill lay in his ability to span between warmup sets for some of the highest acclaimed DJs in the world, as well as delivering peaktime madness in both big room venues and underground clubs, and after-hours festival sets outside at the time of sunrise. All within the realms of techno, and all carefully crafted for a trip between the djungle and space.
