Fun fact, but the very first completely original headcanon for the game that I came up with... literally contradicted the basic things shown to the player x) But it is so dear to me that I cannot get rid of it.

In short, even if you remove the characteristic stylization of the world and characters, and depict them in a traditionally human form, their clothes will look the same as before. In the Great State, they produce and are allowed to wear only black and white clothes - a kind of psychological way of putting pressure on people in the name of destroying their sense of self-importance and personality, the same thing they use in our world for prisoners.
