i made these doodles a while back bc i decided “huh this sounds fun” and boom we have this (details about them under the cut)
so the premise of the au is that [cw cult mention] thomas was abducted by a cult and used as a sacrifice to summon an army of demons, but ended up with a group of 8 demons tied to his soul. they leech off his energy to retain a human-ish form and do their own thing but still stick around with their host to get that energy boost. unless they’re in their solid forms, thomas is the only one that can see them
they all have false names that they go by, since names have power and if thomas knows their names, he can control them (which he doesn’t but he gets their trust enough to learn some of them). they also have their little symbols and runes that is unique to every demon
morality- patton’s actually a fallen angel, and hates being associated with the other demons. he treats them equal enough but still tends to place himself on a higher pedestal despite not being an angel anymore
sleep- remy is a dream demon and usually chills in thomas’ dreams. he gets most of his food/energy from basically fucking around in thomas’ dreams but he enjoys their presence bc he gets a reprieve from the others’ chaos (remy’s also made of sand and stole some clothes from macys or smth)
deceit- janus is your classic shapeshifter demon, and their true form is that shadowy featureless mess (though they LOVE six arms and snakes so more often than not their human disguise is like canon janus’)
pride and lust- roman and remus were actually both human once, but they were cast out from their kingdom and died and became incubi when they were reborn in hell. while remus is chill with this new form he’s in, roman still tends to keep hold of his humanity and still seeks his future prince in the human world
logic- logan is a mindflayer (i know it’s dnd and looks nothing like this but its the best name i could get), aka a demon that feeds off knowledge and brains. he looks spooky but he’s very much a neutral party and spends most of his time in the library eating books (also he’s based off an owl bc symbolism)
anxiety- like patton, virgil isn’t actually a demon. they’re one of the fae and they vibe really heavily with spiders. like logan, they’re a neutral party and chills in the corner of thomas’ house and hisses at people
???- the orange side TECHINCALLY exists but bc we don’t know shit about them i’m just leaving them as a mystery for now. the only ones that know about them are deceit and logic

emile- i couldn’t NOT have emile here. he’s thomas’ therapist and a witch, meaning he can see the demons and provide advice as to how to either deal with them or exorcise them, if thomas wants to (and also acts like a therapist to the demons)
