Virgil smiled as he leaned against Patton, his freckled boyfriend wrapped an arm around his shoulders as they snuggled closer on the couch.

Patton ran his hands through Virgil's hair as Virgil buried his face in Patton's chest.

"Sweetie?" Patton asked with a voice dripping with affection.

"Hm?" Virgil hummed, still burying his face in Patton's chest.

"Shouldn't you get changed out of your work clothes?"

"I'm too comfy," he said while closing his eyes and almost melting against Patton.

"At least take off your binder, it's definitely been more than seven hours."

"No," Virgil whined while dragging out the o sound, "I don't wanna."

"Please darling? For me?"

"Ugh, you know I'm weak to that," Virgil said as he rolled off the couch onto the floor. He sat up and took off his target shirt, revealing the purple binder beneath.

Patton giggled as Virgil gave him puppy eyes and raised his arms, he gently tugged the binder off of Virgil and stood up to throw it in the laundry. Coming back with Virgil's hoodie and lowering it over his head.

As he sat down Virgil latched onto his side again, closing his eyes half while tiredly giving Patton little kisses.

Hair Dye

“This is going to look ridiculous.”  Virgil stressed as the time ticked on.  Five more minutes and their hours of hair bleaching and dying would be over, and Virgil was vaguely terrified because of it.  Why did he agree to this?

“Noooo.”  Patton assured, wrapping his arms around Virgil’s waist.  “You’re going to look super cute!” 

“Cute’s more your thing Pat.”  Virgil reminded.  “I try to look… ‘don’t approach me’.”  

“Aw, babe.”  Patton pouted.  

“I didn’t mean like, there’s anything wrong with looking cute.”  Virgil mumbled, suddenly worried.  He hadn’t insulted Patton, had he?  “I mean, obviously, I really lo- um, like you and you’re super cute.”  He mumbled, face starting to heat up.  Geez he’s just digging himself a hole isn’t he?  But he can feel Patton smiling against his shoulder so he can’t be messing up too much, right?

“I love you too Virgil.”  Patton said.  “If you don’t like it we can always dye it darker later.”

“We’ve already spent all day dying my hair.”  Virgil pointed out.

“I don’t mind, I like spending so much time with you.”  Patton assured, lifting his head to press a kiss to Virgil’s very red cheek.  Thankfully, his phone alarm went off before he had to say anything.

“Time to wash it out.”  Virgil said, getting up from the floor once he and Patton had detangled.

“I’ll help!”  Patton said, jumping up.  He helped wash out the dye, then dried Virgil’s hair off without letting the other check it out.  

“Does it look stupid?”  Virgil asked once Patton had decided his hair was sufficiently dry.

“It looks great!”  Patton grinned.  Virgil smiled, although he wasn’t sure he believed his boyfriend.  Pat would probably say that no matter what.  Standing from the side of the bath, Virgil finally got a look at himself in the mirror.

It was odd to see himself without black hair.  Virgil had dyed his hair once or twice in the past, but also to other dark colours.  

Pastel Purple was very, very not dark.

“Do you like it?”  Patton asked, standing just behind Virgil and looking hopeful.  The colour had been his idea and he knew Virgil had been hesitant.  If Virgil said he hated it, Patton wouldn’t complain.

But…

“Yeah,” Virgil admitted.  “I like it.  Looks… cute.”  Patton squealed, throwing his arms around Virgil and making the taller boy chuckle.  “Good pick babe.”  He said, turning his head to press a gentle kiss to Patton’s lips.

and we’re back!!

It was a dark and stormy night. No, really. It was pouring outside, thunder booming every minute or so. And whenever there was a storm, it meant movie night.

“Virge, you ready? I have the movie all queued up!” Patton called out. He had chosen Virgil’s favorite, The Nightmare Before Christmas, even though it was still September.

Virgil peeked his head out from the kitchen. “Yeah, I’ll be there in a minute, Pat! Just waiting for the popcorn.” He waved at his boyfriend. Patton giggled and waved back.

Suddenly, the bright lights of the TV turned dim. “Hey, V? I think something’s wrong.” Virgil nodded, running a hand through his messy hair. “Yeah, I’m pretty sure the power went out. The microwave isn’t working anymore.”

Patton sighed. There goes our evening plans, he thought. It was going to be so fun! They’d watch the movie, and Virgil would cuddle Patton whenever the spiders scared him...

Virgil took the half-popped popcorn out of the microwave, set it on the counter, and walked over to his boyfriend. “Hey, Pat. Don’t let this ruin our night.” Patton looked up at him.

”So what, the power is out? It’s not a big deal. We can... oh, I don’t know. Maybe we could play a board game or something.” Virgil continued, his hands gesturing wildly. “We’ll still have a great night together.”

A grand smile crept up on Patton’s face. “That would be absolutely wonderful,” he said, wrapping Virgil in a large hug. “Now... would you be willing to play Connect 4?”

Everytime I see this I like to think its a little sad when Patton is singing it by himself in the first edit, so Virgil made a attached video and added the "with you" part to make him feel better bc he loves Patton so much...and idk my Moxiety heart just CRIES!!
