Timeline hint is messed up-don't trust it blindy-gonna point out butchered example below. with rich and patty.
chapter 4 confirms they make up stories/document to cover up for the missing people as they are alive.
gonna point out obvious red flag here how butchered the timeline is from playco intentionally sabotaging the timeline in some of the documents year dates. so if you trust the document from people who admitted to faking a missing person as alive, or would you trust clues left from the previous people alive before the vanished in game?

1985-1989 note from rich to patty time frame below, when he got demoted time frame!
Rich sos to patty, this was decoded as saying "please help me" to patty by user on reddit.
So this line up with patty sabotaging the toy colors looking for rich clue in the 1985-1989 which is much early then 1991's, there also one more detail save for below that shows how faked the document is in patty document for example.

I am gonna trust rich and patty over the admitted fake documents/year dates that been admitted into this game. the butchered time frame above with the document proves this, they also tried to cover up rich and patty being married!!
I think the intentional clue of year/dates from playco faking documents for the missing workers was the missing clue to the players!
also more shady stuff concerning rich/timeline.
1985-1989 he goes missing, since patty sabotages the paint toy colors from the note clue from rich after much early, when rich got demoted time frame. the promotion tape that says 1990 looks like the year has been tempered with because rich says wife yet 1991 shows patty with her last name and not Rich last name! and the kid tape i am betting much early then 1991.
Also since patty sabotage the paint on the toys, i have noticed beside her being linked to kissy, the room where you go to create the green hand/paint has the same music as kissy introduction later, beside carboard cut out spelling her name patty.
Also patty being the toy designer, means she would created huggy and kissy toy design earlier... She is important to the story, just like Rich who her husband hint. Them turning her into one of her popular toys design and also her husband.
in chapter 5 sister vhs tape you can hear rich voice, iconic voice to rich. so he been turned to huggy/clue much early then what the dates are telling us.
Like lore wise huggy/kissy line up to rich/patty as explained.
It's only some of the staged year/date that throwing this theory under.. but as pointed above at the not adding up clue in the year date with patty hall and rich clue... yeah this has been going on much longer...
Also kinda plot hole that we never come across a single fake document in game all chapters if you believe every year date is correct!?, while tapes admit to faking missing people as still alive... At least with Rich heart note/later confirmed wife clue to patty, shows us in game the year date was in fact tempered with since patty does not have last name of rich when she punished!
