Paper by Fifty-Three
Two months ago, Joseph Tame, Paul Johannessen, and myself were commissioned by Otsuka, a main sponsor of TEDxTokyo 2012, to produce a 3 mn animation. Outside of discovering a great company and great people, i discovered how lucky i was to work with Joseph and Paul, without whom the project would not have succeeded.
As a cartoonist, i was also fortunate to discover at the same time a simple little iPad app that became at once my best friend: Paper by Fifty-Three. It is an uncomplicated app that preserves the spontaneity of ideas and allows to share them in a second with the team and the client. Its drawing tools are perfect for sketches and roughs, and it allowed us to brainstorm very efficiently during work sessions and company meetings (and no, this is NOT a paid endorsement, these guys just won a well-deserved Apple Design Award!).
As an instance, i was asked at the last moment to create in a few minutes several cartoons to be used in a TEDx talk, and 53|Paper made it a cinch. Here is one of the sketches used, just to give you an idea of the app's easiness. As they say in Tijuana, Check it out!
