The forefather of indie-hop, Sage Francis. @sagefrancissfr It’s always a great/fun/wacky day of shooting with Sage. He’s a talent and a hurricane. These were created for Anti- @antirecords First photo is us just riffing on some ideas and is suitably strange enough for Sage. The second photo was for album artwork. We shot quite a bit up to this point and Sage needed a break. He took off for a bit, saying he’d return soon. I felt I needed to keep shooting when he returned (always push for more) and found this room with the tree in the distance. It’s winter and the sun is setting fast. Then clouds started rolling in! Where is Sage? At the last minute he returned and I was so desperate to just catch something that I started shooting while he was getting dressed and fixing his clothes. As it turned out, it appears as though he is dancing, and this played in perfectly with the mystique necessary for the cover of “Human the Death Dance”.
