omg overture yes *______* WHAT KIND OF NOVELS TELL ME ABOUT THEM

ahhh overture (& the really lovely sunlight and riverdark version) is just so full of feelings about new beginnings and optimism in the face of unfairness and tragedy and i could probably word-vomit for hours about that song alone. he talks about it here and the bit about the importance of self-love first and foremost and how he wrote it as a lovesong for himself wrecks me every time and made me love it more? (cw for use of homophobic language in that video)

but yeah, so seventeen year old me didn't really know the history behind the song and mostly just had a lot of feelings and wanted to write a story

Yeah I wrote and posted an OT3 fic that started off Sam/Steve, took about 3/4 of the total word count for Sam and Bucky getting to know each other and 1/4 of Natasha being a not-so-subtle matchmaker. I'm now going back and writing Bucky's pov for the whole story and embracing my fate of writing some strictly Bucky/Sam in the future. I should've known the second I wrote Bucky bonding with Sam's youngest niece, Alana, that this was going to be an inevitable outcome.

the neighbourhood's "sweater weather" is still such a good catchy upbeat song for literally every season and is probably still my favourite, although lately i've also become a tad obsessed with "female robbery" and all of its quiet desperation and have had it on repeatasking me to pick a favourite patrick wolf song is a /crime/ but if i had to, it would be "overture". i was gonna write like five novels to it once upon a time ;_;sadly haven't heard much by the weepies except "the world spins madly on" but am really into deb talan's solo stuff and "rocks and water" is so, so goldingrid michaelson's "corner of your heart"
