you know how KC has Sour Bill? Well KillSwitch Buttons has a “buddy” too but for some reason, she keeps avoiding them. For a good reason
Meet Paw-chnella! A cute little cat that will just curl up next to you! They’re quite friendly, so it’s odd that Buttons tends to avoid them. It is also odd for a cat to have two tails though as well…
(Killswitch Spoilers ahead)
Ok so to cut to the chase there’s a REALLY good reason that Buttons avoids him and it’s because aside from being a technically scrapped character (doesn’t show up in False Positive), if the two were properly in the game Paw would have possessed Buttons and used her as a puppet against her will as a final boss. This manipulative little “feline” In KillSwitch barely has to do anything with how Buttons is doing mentally in KillSwitch (with Sinistar around, KCB possibly getting killed, creepy nightmares, and everything feeling hopeless to her), so they cut her a deal with no visible strings attached.
“…I did it. I KILLED Sinistar! Now you don’t need to kill my friend! You can just reconnect his code box back, and you can free him!” Buttons crowed out with manic glee, the three still in shock as the corpse of Sinistar just laid there shattered and crumpled as if it were merely made of tin. Buttons was soon becoming more confused as they looked at her in horror.
“…You know, I really wanted to be your guy’s friend…” She said, her ears twitching slightly. “But honestly I’m not sure I could be friends with the ones who treated my closest companion like a feral animal.” She said, staring daggers into the three.
Calhoun, Ralph and Felix could only stand paralyzed in fear as Buttons would painstakingly trot over, jittery and broken as if she were almost possessed. The good news was that they weren’t going to fight Sinistar anymore, the bad news was that they were the targets of heartbroken vengeance and Buttons was serving it piping hot.
@king-candybug-backup okay I may be cringe, but I am free. In a nutshell Buttons took Paw-Chnella’s deal and she ends up hunting Sinistar down and getting the jump on him. Paw’s deal however is more of a monkey’s paw kind of situation, in that Button’s does end up getting rid of Sinistar BUT ends up letting Paw-Chnella take complete control of her. It’s not like Buttons even wants to fight them at all, it’s just Paw-Chnella pulling at the strings when he reveals that he’s actually the threat. No worries though, after Buttons gets some sense smacked into her it’s Paw’s turn to get the nine lives kicked out of him.
