This is it. People are finally understanding what how much benefit we can derive from harvesting the resources in our solar system. This is why we need to do everything we can to reduce our costs in getting payloads into space. This is why we need Startram.
Asteroid mining will yield massive resources and allow significant commercial expansion into our solar system. Once space exploration becomes profitable (and it will!) we will see a massive expansion into our solar system. With space borne nuclear reactors and 3D printers we could even construct colonies from materials harvested from the places we land... the possibilities are endless. We need to start now. With 15% real unemployment, we need a new industry, a post internet boom. I think space is it.
Big, big, big kudos to Cameron and those investing with him in this project. They get it. They see the big picture.
