One year ago today I was hiking a 3 week old Cypress out to visit the bison herd of Paynes Prairie. This was a beautiful afternoon where the entire family followed me up and down the trail, until I managed to encourage them to pass me by. Wild horses of Paynes Prairie.

Happy Sunday beautiful people! I'm really happy to learn that this Paynes Prairie landscape of mine on a day I was privileged to see many of the bison, has won the Best Mammals in the photography contest this year. It will be printed and on display in the visitor's center. Paynes Prairie is truly a magical place, home to bison, wild horses, large alligators, bobcats, numerous wading bird species, and so much more. It is a Florida state, and a national treasure, and one of my favorite places on the planet.
