She had survived the federation’s torture for seven years and when she caught wind that they were going to finally take her out as she wasn’t worth the resources to keep her alive anymore, she made her move and killed all the people that stood between her and freedom and made it out alive, barely but alive. She was running on survival instinct, ignoring the pain that screamed trough her body and the disorientation in her brain. She moved through the jungle’s undergrowth hoping not to run into any predators. Once her wounds healed up enough she would figure out which way was north and attempt to get home after all this time, already figuring that the Ghosts probably thought her dead all these years.

She stood at her office’s window waiting for Lorenzo to arrive at her office. She wanted to just laugh and shake her head as her friend’s son was so much like her friend back in the day at school. She couldn’t show that it amused her, the board would defiantly call her on it. She sipped some water waiting to her aide to tell her he was here.

A couple of weeks before the quarter quell announcement, Astonia was asked to go to district 3 to keep an eye on Deejay from afar and not to look like she was on a mission as if they decided that she allowed her and extended R and R pass. Snow chose her because he needed someone who could take the shot if she had to and could keep it a secret.

Even though she is an elite peacekeeper, Astonia is really well read. Thanks to the years she spent being raised by her maternal grandparents after the age of nine. Her grandfather had a collection of books she didn't knew existed before then and she was eager to read every one of them.

She was sipping her brandy watching Lorenzo running tour with his squad, shaking her head. The boy was exactly like his father leading his squad into trouble. She had to also add a few days of KP on top of the running the tours. She noticed that a Puma was entering from the main road from the capitol. “Anna, Did I have any meetings scheduled today?” she asked her aide.

Astonia and girlfriends of her squad mates headcanon

Since most of the 101st have known each other since childhood and since thy went through NORTHSTAR together, they are extremely close. Like most close squads the view of your significant other ends up dating the squad along with you, since they are basically family. When Harper started dating his wife everyone thought that Astonia would not like her very much, as she was as protective of the guys of the squad as they were when it came to her.

Harper’s wife pleasantly surprised her as she knew the difference between a sniper rifle and a gun with a scope on it, something that most capitol debutantes didn’t know. She gained Astonia’s respect because she didn’t view the squad as rivals for Harper’s attention and got along with them. The boys liked her because it removed Harper from the competition for Astonia’s affections.

Marasco is the one she is the most protective of the most, mainly because of reasons between the long trust they’ve had with each other since childhood. She will take his happiness into account when it comes to if he finds someone he wants to be steady with.

and now onto the part I think you were more interested in what injuries she got:

Well the first wave had beast masters in it (ie reavers who could control mutts and animals) so she had a nasty talon scratch on her right shoulder from a Murderhawk, that was aiming for her. She stabbed that thing to death as it bit a good chunk out of her arm. (thank god for a good company/squad medic) though her arm had to be in a sling after they got back into the capitol to let the shoulder repair itself,

Various bruises and scrapes one would get in combat, and the last battle of the operation she got grazed by a bullet in the side, though it isn’t known if it was a reaver bullet or friendly fire since the Reavers where between her and the rest of the ghosts.

Note for those who want to know what a murderhawk is: it is a mutt the capitol created during the dark days, basically a huge bird capable of carrying off a full grown adult and attacks with little to no warning, it was supposedly killed off after the dark days but needless to say some escaped North and the reavers figured out how to domesticate them and train them as weapons.

Hi there! This is your secret Santa again! Had not become a peacekeeper, what would have Astonia be doing? What other career paths she would be interested in?

Aww thanks you made my day at work sending this question. Mun is working most of her 8 hour shift alone. I saw this on break and spent a better part of two hours figuring this question out.

She never really thought about a path different than being a peacekeeper as it was expected of her since she is part of two peacekeeping blood lines. Her grandfather merely said it’s in her blood. Though she sometimes could see herself being a PA to any high ranking individual, such as a CEO of marascorp or another industry linked to the peacekeeping forces.
