Oh, the DEO is a thing in this version of the DC universe? Hm, I’d say I would be curious to see how a show based around them specifically would go (maybe using the Chase series, which was about the adult daughter of a D-list superhero from the 1980s who became cynical about the entire enterprise when her parents were murdered when she was a kid), but I could see how that could be interpreted as an Agents of SHIELD rip-off...
Although if I were making a DEO show, I’d make it clear that magic is magic and super-science is super-science from the start, so you don’t end up with tedious things like how AoS was debating how Ghost Rider (a literal flaming skeleton-man) was possibly some kind of science-based mutation rather than supernatural. Them casually tossing the Spirit of Vengeance curse between the various members of the cast like a pair of car keys whenever they felt like it also bugged me... If it’s a curse that can just be given to someone else with no consequences, it’s not really a curse, is it?
Heck, if they were to present the magic and science divisions as being kind of rivals, with the magic department becoming increasingly frustrated when the science team try to use Clark’s Law to get the magic group’s funding cut.
This, naturally, results in the two groups getting into fistfights when stuff that borders the two disciplines (Lovecraftian cult stuff) comes into play. What with how HP’s work originally being explicitly magic before becoming incomprehensibly advanced science that might as well just be magic in his later works.
