Am I the only one who gets annoyed about people labeling outlets and plug-ins male and female? Why do people have to bring gender & sex into inanimate objects ??? PEOPLE

two thousand and sixteen. i started off feeling like i had it all together. i felt like i had found my 'aesthetic' and was inspired by so many people and things. i felt for the first time that i belonged. i thought that maybe this year things will be wonderful and that my perpetual and over leaping self doubt would finally leave me alone. but my self reassurance went away and the self doubt came back, as if it was a ghost that was haunting me. i came to realise this year wasn't the year that things will come together for me, it was bigger than that. two thousand and sixteen was a year of realisation. the year that although it took me a long time to realise, i understood that i need to embrace the ghost, challenge the ghost and stop hiding and running away from it. after all, the ghost was just as scared as i am. a lot has happened this year, whether it be good or bad, and i guess the moral of this short and possibly boring piece is that i am here for all of you, and that whatever you're going through is happening for a reason. this is a small stepping stone into the wonderful life you're living. i thought that if you read how i felt throughout this year, maybe we could all be here for one another. so please, run yourself a bath, play your favourite soothing songs, slather on your favourite mask and lip balm or body butter, write in your journal, read a book that makes you smile! do whatever you want to do! just give yourself a break! this year was hard, but we can all learn things from it, and we can all support one another for next year! personally, i am working on being the best version of myself, inside and out! and i encourage you to do the same! so wear the clothes you love but think no one else will, believe in the things you want to believe in, but most importantly, believe in yourself, because quite frankly, you are the most important person in the whole entire world.
