Hello! Oh, it's so touching that it's still on your mind 🥺💖 I'm gonna be so real, there's not a lot of fluff in the rest of the draft so far, but here's a sweet little peek:

 “The light’s not from the sunrise! It’s from me, see?” “You—” To Shoyo’s delight, Tobio was at a total loss, eyes flickering between the glowing hand at his wrist and his husband’s plaintive eyes. “You’re such an idiot,” he finally scoffed with a defeated smile. “Fine.”  Shoyo bit back his laughter as Tobio flung himself back to the bed and pulled Shoyo close, though a few triumphant giggles still slipped free. A shadow suddenly rose behind the curtains, blocking out the pink sunrise until only Shoyo’s glow illuminated Tobio’s wry smile. “If that’s not the sun, then I’m not hearing your servants,” Tobio muttered, stealing a kiss between every phrase. “Exactly,” Shoyo hummed, keeping Tobio close with gentle hands at his cheeks. “We’re the only ones awake.”

And I must do my monthly routine of assuring you that I haven't forgotten about my wips! I'm working soooooo slowly but surely at them, I promise! Life's just been keeping me incredibly busy and it's been really hard to find time to sit and write. I can't possibly emphasize how much I appreciate your patience and support 😭🙏🏾💖💖

hii sorry if this is random but i saw u talked about a fic in one of my posts' tags which u called, "lin's kghn retirement fic" and idk who kin is but the fic sounds interesting so i thought i would ask for a link :D

HELLO omg omg I’m so sorry for the late answer, I haven’t checked tumblr in 100 years, and I’m also sorry if you didn’t intend this to be published, but I simply MUST take any and all opportunities to publicly yell about this fic!! (and pretty much all of Lin’s fics; she’s a dear dear friend, but I swear I’m not being biased when I say she’s one of the most underrated writers in the fandom)

ANYWAY the fic in question is called “a little more scared, a little more stupid,” and it is some of the most realistic, heartwrenching, beautifully written kghn I’ve read, especially canonverse. Fair warning, it only features one other fandom main ship alongside kagehina, but it’s for the sake of one of the central themes/subplots and really well done once you get over the initial adjustment to it! It also has a ton of good good pining and angst, though again, bitty warning, some of the angst comes from a character’s realization of sexuality and the subsequent unlearning of internalized biphobia. BUT it’s all handled with such a delicate, loving touch by an author that’s experienced it all, so it doesn’t feel hammed up or overly dramatic at all!

I just…I truly can’t recommend this fic enough, it’s by far my favorite kghn retirement fic, and one of my fave kghn fics in general. If you’re interested in some lighter fare from Lin, I highly recommend her fluffy, hilarious tsukkiyama fic “As You Wish”, and if you want some wonderful world building, you can’t go wrong with her PJO au “Strawberry Fields Forever” and her multiverse tsukkiyama au “Where the Mountain Meets the Moon.”

3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need?

Oh, EASILY any scenes that require any knowledge of in-world and/or real world politics. I am absolutely weak for the trope of a lady throwing down in the board room, but I am simply too stupid to flesh out said throw down. 

8. Is what you like to write the same as what you like to read?

For the most part, yeah. I mainly started writing because of the instances when I couldn’t find something that matched the scene in my head, so my writing ended up being focused on shit I want to read more of I guess lmao

14. At what point in writing do you come up with a title? 

Ooooooof this really varies. Most of the time, I’ll come up with something when I see the empty “Title” box on AO3, but I’ve always had instances of a title coming to me in the middle of writing (especially if it’s a solid bad pun), and very rarely I’ve started writing with the title in mind.
