omg you love soc! i want it to be WAY more popular than it is, it deserves some hype :) i mean leigh bardugo just gives me hope bc it shows a mediocre writer can Level Up w practice & get Better. also it has Divesity! of all types! and so shippable (is that a word? lol)! like besides the obvious suspects you can go for nina/inej or jasper/kaz etc bc everyone is in love w each other. i love found family trope so much! like band of misfits learn to fit together & create one giant badass family :')

everything you’ve just said is right on! i really love how bargudo created like, romantic ships within the characters but then there’s an infinite amount of internal group dynamics -- the way kaz is with nina, the way jesper is with inej, matthias with anyone is hilarious, and they’re given as much importance as any of the romantic ships.

the diversity is such a good step in a right direction and i hope other YA authors take notes because it’s so important that these changes start happening, not just for a “diversity check,” but to reflect the world we live in, and to reflect their readers.

huge sucker for that trope, so glad to see it done so well in six of crows, really looking forward to crooked kingdom.

what does your tag attention wolfclub mean?

hahaha oh, it’s basically a ‘friend’ tag, my friend haley / pearsephone‘s last name has etymological roots in the word “wolfcub” so i use that if i want her to see posts. her tag for me is ‘sparrow look at this’ b/c i used to be known as maddie sparrow in many circles

I'm so happy you like The Dream Thieves, may I ask about your favourite characters from The Raven Cycle series?

Oooh! Okay so I didn’t intend to be, but I’m ridiculously fond of Ronan Lynch, and I hate myself for it (mainly because I always gravitate towards his type of character and I didn’t like him as much in the first book so I thought, hey, there’s hope! and then the Dream Thieves happened ahahah)

I adore Blue Sargent, I truly adore her, she’s one of my favourite female characters in fiction, and reminds me an awful lot of one of my best friends, so perhaps that contributes to it. I also like Gansey; of the Raven Boys, Adam is probably my least favourite. I like Noah, I do but there’s not a lot of substance to him.

I don’t know why this happened but Persephone, I love Persephone and I would consider her a favourite of mine and I was devastated by her plot line. I love her eeriness and the way she is around Blue, and around Adam and around life.

Oh, there’s something coiled around my chest again. I did not know that snakes could hibernate until this one woke up. Have you ever heard the sound of the world bleeding? I can now. It is roaring in my ears and I cannot hear my heart beat. I am wide open and gaping, all of a sudden a natural disaster and I’ve been split down the middle. Everything is pouring in but I do not know if it can fit.
