Peasedown St John Bypass (A367 from Bath) and the Tall Thin Man in a Hat.. This very tall & thin man in a long coat and hat, has been spotted by quite a few local people, at roughly between 3-4am, He has been spotted at various points on the road can between the old Titfield Thunderbolt pub/ Dunkerton Hill, along the bypass and Wellow Lane. Reports go back over 15 years and are still coming forward now.. One explanation is its the ghost of a John Skinner, who was a preacher in the area in the 1800`s, traveling & preaching between Camerton, Carlingcott & Peasedown. Rumour has it he hung himself in a tree on Camerton hill, after getting a local girl into trouble. she also committed suicide a few weeks later. © Somerset Paranormal
