Had the funniest experience in latin the other day because we were doing a reading/listening comprehension and the story was about a guy named peneus. Me and the dude sitting next to me were staring at our paper because every time we made eye contact we started giggling and it was the same for the rest of the class omg my latin teacher hates my class

"She breathes new life into these fraught and well-loved myths."
It's not that good
Lot's of characters
Peneus already had 2 sons Andreus and Hypseus. Why make him like this?
Also it's annoying to see Daphne talking like a american teenage girl on Twitter
The writing get's more unbearable
Other reviews bring new horrifying information
Orpheus is turned into a abusive husband, because for some reason a lot of female retelling writers believe one can't find a happy relationship 🙂🔫
It's just bad
She described Hephaestus as "the only competent one", which means she will probably ignore what he did to Athena and Harmonia
There's 90% chance the writer Walburga never read the Hymn to Artemis if she thinks Artemis stays far from the men of her family
The Argonautica, the Trojan War, Titanomachy, Gigantomachy, battle against Typhon, 12 Labors of Heracles, 6 Labors of Theseus, the Odyssey, Eros/Cupid and Psyche, the Dionysiaca, 7 Against Thebes, Hunt for the Calydonian Boar, the tasks of Bellerophon, the dispute over Athens, the dispute over the golden apple, Leto's travels to Delphi
You know it's going to be terrible when Pentheus get's a more positive description than Perseus
It's like this book was written for a 10 years old child, but it wasn't...
I don't have a comment
