Yesterday I had a matcha parfait from Meccha Matcha, and a beef rice plate from Pepper Lunch 😋

Week 3/53: January 13th - January 19th 2020 | Pepper Lunch & Tiger Sugar

I was supposed to work for all seven days this week but my bbt boss set me free on Sunday HAHAHA. Work was so rough all week mostly because I had to bring indoor shoes everyday because of the snow outside T^T ,,,,, IT WAS SO COLD THIS WEEK I DIED OK....... FUCK WINTER. I can’t believe I wore uggs for a whole week in yvr LOL.

For Sundate, Linda and I went to Pepper Lunch hehehe I was just gonna get my usual beef one because it’s yum and cheap(est) but at the last minute I saw a promotion for their new chicken karaage rice so I got that instead. It was okay LOL the chicken is pretty yum but I think I still prefer the original beef one :P ~ After dinner, we went to try the brown sugar boba milk from Tiger Sugar YAY FINALLY!! It was so yum (also my first bubble tea of the year hahhha).

we had a “young people fun friday” lunch today

the familiar taste of overpriced pepper lunch sans the pepper

sneakily throwing in a student discount despite having graduated years ago (granted. we all look like students and cmon the economy is bad)

we sat simmered in sizzling smoke and oil and aroma, leaving with clothes invisibly but aromatically stained

the most formidable food coma hits us soon after, prompting heavy eyelids and loose neck muscles

i migrated over to the tall tables and chairs at the pantry, which also fulfilled a childish office bucket-list that i had mentally created since week 1 of working here

the sunlight and hard plastic stool helped wake me up mildly

retreating back to my desk gave me an instant slumber but was thankfully overcome by discussions and reviews

locking in for the last 2 hours of work was productive as a high pressure built up in my ears - probably a symptom of being sick

i virtually spammed and plonked a heap of replies and shut my laptop down, letting the fans vent for a bit before locking my brain in the metal cabinet for the weekend
