Hmm.... I wanted to write a Blaayla fic because they are so deliciously tragic but I apparently do not have the bandwidth for that. BUT I WANT TO. I SO WANT TO. I am trying to figure out if I can fit Bly into the back third of After the End because there is a small clone subplot.
I also started a niche rarepair fic that won’t see the light of day but I ADORE IT. It’s so healthy.
And General Ghost. I wanted to work on his story but, like the Spanish Inquisition, no one expects T&K to land in their lap. 25.) a fic you read this year you would recommend everyone read
Court and Spark by @jerseytigermoth
This is an amazing fic which brings together an emotionally damaged Ben Kenobi and a grieving but stable Anakin Skywalker in a lovely old house in Maine during a snowy winter. Somehow they find themselves falling in love over the course of a few weeks and while Ben has a LOT of issues that he has to deal with, Anakin is there for him every step of the way, his rescue puppy Artie at his side. With loving guest appearances by Jocasta Nu, Dex, Vokara Che, Ahsoka, Padme and Rex, in all his quietly affectionate wonderfulness, this is a BEAUTIFUL fic to curl up with on a cold, snowy day. It’s almost finished but even if Jersey can’t make it back to the fic, it’s reached a touching and satisfying resolution so you’re not driven to online stalking her, driving to her location and shouting at the top of your lungs “OKAY BUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT????”
Which would be weird. So please don’t do that. XD

But you’re all so awesome! That’s like chosing my favorite clone! Rex, no Fives, No Cody! No no no! Echo! NO DAMNIT! IT’S REX-WAIT!
In lieu of picking a favorite, I would like to give props to @hellsbellssinclub for her fantastic work on Across the Stars. She’s worked so hard on this fic and I am so proud of her for sticking through the long months and updates. I know how hard it is to keep up interest for a long fic so MAD PROPS TO YOU BELLS!
Also I would like to give a shout out to @thefiresofmustafar for her ongoing and ambitious Atlas Project which is inspired by different songs on the ablum Atlas Year One or Year Two by Sleeping At Last. She’s done some lovely work on this project, most recently on forgiveness is a lesson he cursed you to learn and i will rearrange the stars, pull them down to where you are which has the most fantastic mid-labor quote from Padme.

28.) longest fic you read this year
Coda. Equinox? No, actually A Walking Shadow by @writegowrite which I love and adore even as she calls it her red-headed step child of a fic. And I don’t care what she says, the Obikin is not subtext imho. It IS text. Also, Obi-Obi is the cutest nickname. Almost as cute as Bibi.
Oh! No! Actually the winner is Negotiation by Glare. Which I did not understand before I watched Hannibal and now I understand SO MUCH MORE.
