the raw emotion IS SO GOOD!!! Percy accepting Tyson as his brother is so special to me, not just for the characters but also for the idea of letting heroes, and boys for that matter, express their feelings of friendship and brotherhood like this UGHHH

Yeah I'm good with the change with Zeus actually turning Thalia into a tree because she learned about the Great Prophecy and didn't want to side with her father. I'm not even shocked.

Never forget Jason Grace.

And I'm not just talking about how he died and Zeus gave no fucks. I mean his whole fucking life.

Raised in Camp Jupiter, being forced into a position of leadership, adored by other campers but unable to make close friendships like everyone, different from everyone. The child of Jupiter that carried the weight of the world on his shoulders and didn't get even an acknowledgement from his father. Who used the one time Zeus talked to him and praised him to defend Apollo. Who died before his dreams got realised. Who died protecting his loved ones and making sure the future mattered by making Apollo see how things needed to be better. Who accepted his death long before it happened to save Piper. Jason who lived constantly for others and never himself. Jason who was the weapon crafted by the gods to fight the Titans.

And Zeus wanted Thalia to be like him.
