Day 7: Dior son of Lúthien
Elros and Elrond out in the woods 🌟🌟
I think that Celebrimbor came to Sirion exactly once, to do some advanced smith-work that could only be done on the spot—a new city gate?—and Elwing’s advisors and guardians did their 110% best to keep him away from her. Celebrimbor understood completely and abided by this entirely. Elwing, however, was 13 years old and rebellious, so she evaded her guards; hid the Jewel securely in a pouch under her shirt, so no Light seeped out; and snuck to where she could get a good view of the Fëanorian at work. The Fëanorian with his broad shoulders and fine hair tied neatly back from the forge o’er which he labored, the flames which only reflected the intensity of his spirit at work, so fascinating and dangerous and beautifully in-tune with the song of the metal taking shape in his deft hands…
Elwing, age 13 and rebellious, spent the subsequent summer constructing very secret, increasingly elaborate fantasies about how she would mend all the hurts of the Eldar by marrying the last, un-Marred scion of her family’s sworn enemies, and then naturally together they would lead all the people of Beleriand in a great war upon the Enemy, whom she would in the end cast down herself like if Lúthien had been armed with a Silmaril from the start…
Then the autumn squalls sent Eärendil home from his summer at sea, and Elwing forgot most of her daydreams, because there had really never been anyone for Elwing and Eärendil, the two half-elves at the end of the world, except each other. (Except of course that Eärendil was also for the Sea, and Elwing for the Jewel, and each for their respective peoples…but these things only drew them closer together.)
had the funny idea of Elros and Maglor sitting together doing whatever tree people do. And elros just takes off his face and rubs a smudge of dirt off with his sleeve before putting it back on. Maglor: 👁👁
((Idk its hilarious to me to think the boys could take their faces off the whole time by choice and M&M just didnt know. The masks are set unless the kids dont want them to be. My own little HC of your AU XD ))
Hahahaa I love that idea! <333 I can definitely imagine the twins (Elros especially) doing it to troll the Feanorians loll Thanks for sharing your idea, anon! :D
Elwing and the Nightingale
This took waaayyy longer than I thought it would, but I'm so happy with how it turned out!! Especially her face and the background, and I'm just pleasantly surprised by her feather robe too :) you decide what on the hidden part of her necklace 🤫

Arwen’s genetics under cut (for fun)
The Silent Legacy: Who are Elladan and Elrohir? (Part 1)
In the vast tapestry of Middle-earth, there are figures who dwell in the margins of the main narrative but hold up the pillars of its deepest history. Elladan and Elrohir, the twin sons of Elrond Half-elven and Celebrían, are perhaps the most underutilized—yet fascinating—characters in Tolkien’s Appendices.
The Lineage of Two Faces Heirs to the House of Fingolfin and the bloodline of Beren and Lúthien, the twins embody the biological and spiritual duality of the Peredhil (Half-elven). Like their father and sister Arwen, they face the choice between the immortality of the Firstborn or the mortal doom of Men. This isn't just a genealogical trait; it’s the engine of their existence.
The Wound of Celebrían: A Motive for Vengeance Unlike the contemplative serenity we associate with the Elves of Rivendell, Elladan and Elrohir are defined by a contained fury. In TA 2509, their mother, Celebrían, was captured and tortured by orcs in the Redhorn Pass. Though her sons rescued her, the spiritual wound was so deep she departed for the Grey Havens, leaving an incurable void in their family.
Since then, the twins became wandering figures:
Shadow Hunters: They rarely rested in the Last Homely House; instead, they patrolled the borders alongside the Dúnedain of the North.
Blood Allies: Their relationship with Aragorn isn't just fealty—it’s brotherhood. They were his mentors in woodcraft and his deadliest companions in the shadows.
The "Elven Ranger" Aesthetic Tolkien describes them as so alike that few could tell them apart: dark-haired and grey-eyed, clad in silver mail and cloaks of cloud-grey. They represent a facet of Elves the cinema has yet to fully explore: the Elf who has stepped down from the pedestals of light to get stained with mud and blood in an eternal guerrilla war against evil.
Eärendil and Elwing. I couldn't let @halfelvenweek slip by without drawing my favorite peredhil :)
