Finish off the year with some Murder Horses, ya know?
A Brief break from Goretober because I've been listening to a lot of MLP Creepypastas so I gotta make my OWN horror Horse.
His name is Perfect Pin; he's a monster, in his own way. He has a fascination with preserving and mounting specimens-as his ass tattoo has decreeded. But he's moved on from simply bugs and small animals. He's moved on to Pegasi because he thinks their biology is nifty and should be preserved for future viewing. His day job is a entomologist at a collage, managing their archives. It helps fund the rent on his very special house with it's very special gallery basement situation he has.
The Changling is his partner in crime. His name is Tarsus. Tarsus is one of the royal grubs from the previous Hive. Which means he emerged first, literally ate the competition and the second he pupated with legs he had the choice-fight the Alpha Queen or get the fuck out. The latter was chosen. He met Perfect Pin and they've had a nauseating symbiosis ever since. While Perfect Pin kidnaps people and begins the long process to preserve them and pin them to his gallery wall-Tarsus acts as the middle man, taking disguise of a 'poor victim like them who has to work under Perfect Pin and doesn't want to do this or else he'll get hurtings again' and then feeding off the essentially Stockholm feelings of people thinking he's one of them and worthy of trust and comradery. Then he goes up stairs, kicks back and watches 12 hours of trash T.V. after such a filling meal from a 20 minute interaction.
He is also Perfect Pin's literal partner. Are they gonna make a fucked up colony together? Maybe. Are they gonna keep sticking people on to a wall and preserving them like insane taxidermists? Absolutely. Will they get found out? Can't get caught if the cops can't find a body.
gives u a banan
Tarsus has those 'Cat like Reflexes.' Specifically, the one that makes him afraid of anything long that suddenly appears behind him and makes him think it's some kind of snake like threat.
Perfect Pin works at a collage in the Archives managing the collage's collection of insects. But every now and then he's requested to speak as a guest speaker for a class where his wisdom and knowledge would be relevant such as Biology Units and Zoology Classes.
Unfortunately these classes have.....collage students.
I was talking about the big bragging about their deception.
Ah; That'd be Tarsus.
Tarsus is Pin's fucked up little 'Rescue Dog' and while he's rather intelligent, He would be the one to fumble, slip up, get pissed at his disguise not going as planned. He does have Hubris. And Wrath. And Envy. Honestly, he's all the 7deadly Sins shoved into one volatile insectoid body.
Pin is the brains of the operation, Tarsus is .....every other organ.
Fun fact; Tarsus is the word used to describe the end grabby bit of a bug foot. If Claws are 'fingers' the Tarsus is a hand. Which fits well, since Tarsus is Pin's little helping hand.
What'd Pin and Tarsus look like as humans?
Hey hey you’re in luck. I may be having a weird drawing week but I do have some sort of concepts of what they’d look like as people
Tarsus was sort of being concepted as well..a humanoid bug. I think at the time I was making comparisons of Fey changlings being like cicadas.
Perfect Pin-just like his student proclaimed in that comic-is a little femboy-y. His in general body shape looks sort of very soft and almost a little pudgey compared to Tarsus who is long tall and all sharp hard angles
Which is sort of rooted in how I draw them. Hard Angles vs Soft round shapes
I may refine their human forms more later on.
It would be Pin desire to study them for too long that would give them the opportunity to get away, probably by doing something insane and almost lethal.
Yeah, Pin would be the type to 'study' something for a bit too long if it's behavior is interesting enough. Far Enough to where Tarsus would neglect and abuse them out of annoyance of attention being taken away from him.
Not to mention that Pin has a day job and a life outside of his little passion projects; so he often goes DAYS without tending to his projects cause he's busy.
With that in mind I like to make a character that kind of put all that meticulous planning into disarray by being unpredictable and wild, going against their expectations, and generally not being normal. Like "what the hell is wrong with them, I need to study them" kind of thing.
Oh that's good.
Pin: Ah this one is fucked up a little. Let's put it in a box and look at it and write stuff down so we can say it's for science.
Tarsus, angry, holding a bleeding snout: IT ROUNDHOUSE KICKED ME IN THE NOSE.
